Adeline Daponte, age 89, a resident of Pepperell since 1980, died June 29, 2011 at the Apple Valley Care Center in Ayer after a short illness. She was the wife of the late James Daponte who died in 1973.
She was born in Lowell on July 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Anastacio and Anna (Agrella) DeJesus. Mrs. Daponte was educated in the Lowell School System. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church in Pepperell.
She leaves a sister, Kay Silva of California, her caregiver Rose Marie Bedard of Pepperell as well as her grand niece, Beth Bedard of Pepperell and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at the Apple Valley Care Center, especially to Mary and Bobby.
Visiting hours at the Marchand Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church at 10 a.m. on Friday. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
