Alice Marie Sheehan

February 9, 1956 — March 25, 2026

Ayer, Massachusetts

Alice Marie (Harmon) Sheehan, a lifelong resident of Ayer, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 70. Born in Ayer on February 9, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of Frank Harmon and the late Gladys (Turner) Harmon.

Alice was a devoted and loving mother whose daughter was truly the center of her world. She gave endlessly of herself, always putting family first and offering help to anyone in need. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Joseph Sheehan III, affectionately known as “Chip,” with whom she shared many years of love and partnership until his passing in 2005.

Alice was incredibly talented in the kitchen and beyond. She was a gifted baker and, alongside her husband, she created beautiful cakes for countless family birthdays and special occasions over the years. She also enjoyed cooking and was an excellent seamstress, often sewing clothing with remarkable skill and care.

She had a deep love for children, animals, and family, and her home was always a place of warmth and welcome. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—listening to The Beach Boys, attending musicals with her daughter, and spending time in the White Mountains, where she felt most at peace.

Alice was deeply involved in her community through the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. A former Rainbow Girl herself, she dedicated many years to serving on the advisory boards of Ayer Assembly #104 and Wamesit Assembly #88, including serving as Mother Advisor in Ayer, where she mentored and supported countless young women.

The eldest of seven children, Alice is survived by her loving father, Frank Harmon; her devoted daughter, Tamra Sheehan; and her siblings, Richard Harmon, Debra Jones, Karen Harmon, Michael Harmon, and Maureen Heilner Harmon. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Kelley. She is also survived by many, many nieces and nephews and extended family, all of whom she loved dearly.

Alice will be remembered for her warmth, her selflessness, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness and care.
