Allan H. Costigan

Allan H. Costigan, 85, of Norwood, died at the Golden Living Center in Norwood on August 23, 2014. He was born in Royal Oak, MI on March 23, 1929 son of the late John and Victoria (Spinney) and was the wife of the late Patricia (Blayne) Costigan. After the Depression the Costigan family from Michigan to New Brunswick, Canada, and later moved to Dorchester, MA. Allan served in the Navy during WW2 as a Seaman First Class. After the War he made his home in Alabama where he worked as a truck driver for most of his life and was an instructor at a tractor trailer driving school.
Allan had a pilot's license and flew private airplanes. He loved his church and family a, the outdoors and flying, and his hobbies were studying aerodynamics and science.
His survivors include his 6 children Harlie,James,Glen,Peter and Stephen all of the Boston area and Denise of Florida. He was also the brother of the late Eleanor Manuel, Olga Coulter, Opal Kierstead and Edmund Costigan.

Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. Littleton ,MA with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 am.
