Andrew "Andy" Wayland, 91 and a longtime resident of Littleton passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022 surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
He was born to parents William Wayland and Rosanna Gallighan on May 9, 1930 in Millville MA. Growing up he lived in various locations and graduated from Waltham High School. He launched a career in custom tile and stone successfully running his own contracting business - a profession he followed for 51 years before retiring the age of 70. He was widely known and respected for truly being a master at his trade. Andy was predeceased by his wife Jeanne Ferris Wayland with whom he enjoyed 58 years of marriage, son Richard Wayland, and great-granddaughter Gabriella.
Andy will always be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help everyone he met. He particularly loved and cherished his family spending every possible moment he could with them. Every life event was a time to be shared and celebrated. Andy loved his aqua Goldwing and spent countless days exploring and cruising the countryside with Jeanne. It was always a sad day when he put it away for the winter. He was a lifetime member of the Littleton Sportsman Club and was an avid Archer competing on Local, State, and National levels.
Andy is survived by his daughters; Andrea Chandler and her husband Richard of Northborough, Donna O'Connell and her partner Richard Barnes of Athol, and son Andrew and his wife Susan of Sacramento, CA. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Andy for a period of visitation from 9:00am until 11:00am on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. His funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
