Ann Donohue Goddard, 81, a longtime resident of Littleton passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Ronald P. Goddard, with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage in June.
Ann was born in Lowell, MA on November 8, 1936 the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (McCaffrey) Donohue. She attended Lowell elementary schools, and later graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsboro, MA in 1955. Ann received her Nursing degree from Catherine Laboure' Nursing School in Boston, MA. She was a proud and dedicated registered nurse with St. John's Hospital in Lowell for 45 years. Ann's caring and professional demeanor was admired by all those who knew her.
Ann and Ron were married on June 6, 1959 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell, MA. Together they raised their loving children in Littleton. Ann was a devoted wife and mother, and family was the center of her life. She enjoyed holiday and family gatherings, and cherished time spent with her dear grandchildren. Ann and Ron were fortunate to travel throughout the United States and Europe. Ann was an avid reader, a dedicated Bob Dylan fan, an astute political observer, and a member of Mensa.
Along with her husband she is survived by her children Timothy D. Goddard and his wife Kathy of Littleton, MA, Ronald J. Goddard of Lowell, MA, Patrick G. Goddard and his wife Betsy of West Hartford, CT, Maura E. Goddard of Holden, MA, and Martha G. Johnson and her husband Eric of Littleton, MA, her grandchildren Michael, Sarah, Joseph, Vanessa, Isabella, Daniel and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Frances E. Smith and brother Edward M. Donohue. She is predeceased by her sons Kevin P. and Michael J. Goddard, brother Walter F. Donohue and sister Mary E. Bernstein.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ann on Sunday, November 19 from 2:00-5:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 20 at 9:00 AM in St. Anne Church, 75 King St., Littleton. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
