Ann C. O'Donnell

Ann C. ( Hubbard) O'Donnell, age 78, a resident of Pepperell, MA for more than 40 years, died on May 19, 2009 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA after a short illness.

She was born in Boston, MA on February 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Lester and Edna (Saunders) Hubbard. She was educated in Winchester, MA school system. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a copy editor for the former Pepperell Free Press. After retiring from the newspaper Ann began work as a receptionist at the Pepperell Senior center where she remained until her passing. She was an active member in the community and was an original member of the Pepperell 4th of July Committee, the Pepperell Housing Authority, the Pepperell Council on Aging, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pepperell V.F.W. Post #3291. Ann always contributed and worked diligently while serving; the American flags which line Main Street in celebration of America was her most beloved project.

Ann was the matriarchal glue of the O'Donnell family, She is survived by one son; Daniel J. O'Donnell of Nashua, NH; 3 daughters, Catherine A. Lundeen, husband Donald along with their three children, Matthew, Jessica and Shannon of Pepperell, MA; Sandra R. Hartnett, husband Michael along with their 3 children, Meghan, Jennilyn and Michael of Pepperell, MA; Judy Naar, husband Reginald along with their 4 young children, Jillian, Alexa, Jacob and Ava of Londonderry, NH. Along with her family, she touched and influenced the lives of all who knew her, including extended family and beloved friends. She will be greatly missed.

At Ann's request there will be no funeral services but a celebration of her life to be held on her favorite holiday July 4th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pepperell Senior Center or to the Pepperell Fourth of July Committee, P.O. Box 535, Pepperell, MA 01463.
