Anne M. (Conville) Sweatt

Anne Marie (Conville) Sweatt, age 87, a longtime Littleton resident, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Melvin Robert Sweatt, who died in 2007.

Anne Marie Conville was born in East Cambridge on July 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Helen (Corcoran) Conville.

Anne was raised and educated in Cambridge, graduating from Littleton High School. Anne and Mel were the first couple married at St. Anne’s Church on June 12, 1960, where they remained lifelong parishioners. Anne was a devoted wife and mother and cherished raising her loving children. She had an infectious smile that everyone who knew her admired.

She enjoyed cooking, baking everything under the sun & making sandwiches for all the kids who constantly swam in her pool. She went to the senior center to enjoy arts & crafts and exercise with all her friends. She volunteered in the kitchen for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with all of her friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Anne and Mel had the best parties celebrating the 4th of July & Labor Day for many years.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Leslie Ripley, and her husband, Scott, of Littleton; her grandchildren, Lexi Ripley and her fiancée, Mack Jordan; and CJ Sweatt & Sarah Campbell. She was predeceased by her brother, Sonny Conville; her son, Charles A. Sweatt; her daughter, Cheryl Anne Campbell; and her grandson, Adam D. Ripley.

Her family would like to thank all of the staff on B wing at the Life Care Center who took such good care of her. You were all so kind, and she loved you. You have such a hard job but always have smiles on your faces.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Anne for visiting hours on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Road, Littleton.
