AnnMarie Giaquinto

October 29, 1980 — May 30, 2023

Quincy, Massachusetts

AnnMarie "Annie" Giaquinto of Quincy, MA passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42 years young on May 30th 2023.

A loving mother to her daughter Sophia. Beloved daughter of Angelo and the late Marie Giaquinto. Dear sister of Jennine Lesser and her husband Christopher, Marissa Abrams and her husband Brian, Joseph Giaquinto, Christine Fortier and her husband Travis, and James Giaquinto. Adored Auntie of Matthew, Isabella, Camryn, Brooke and Benjamin.

AnnMarie was born and raised in Winchester, MA and later educated in Bedford MA. She attended Fitchburg State College and later received certificates in both Cosmetology and Medical Assisting. As a natural caregiver, AnnMarie recently worked as a medical assistant at Atrius Health of Braintree. AnnMarie’s passion was caring for others and her intention was to pursue a degree in nursing.

In her free time AnnMarie could be found at a beach, pool, or on a boat; anywhere she could soak up the sun! Her passing so close to Memorial Day will forever be symbolic to those she left, as she would look forward to the start of the summer season and enjoying lobster by the ocean in York, Maine.

Since her birthday was in late October, her favorite holiday was Halloween. She loved carving pumpkins, dressing up in costume, visiting Salem, MA and rewatching her favorite movie, “Hocus Pocus”.

Time with family was very special to her and good food was always a part of that. She loved Italian food, but her favorite dish was her mom’s chicken wing recipe, which she often requested her sister to make for her. Her favorite family tradition was reading the poem “T’was The Night Before Christmas” to Sophia and her nieces and nephews each Christmas Eve.

Above all, AnnMarie’s greatest love was for her daughter, Sophia. They enjoyed Mother- Daughter outings such as getting their nails done and shopping. They would often play board games, with AnnMarie’s favorite being “Guess Who”. Other favorite activities were ice skating and going on bike rides. AnnMarie hoped to one day take Sophia skating at Rockefeller Center in NYC.

These precious memories and AnnMarie’s beautiful spirit will live on forever in Sophia.

AnnMarie’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those who have reached out with love and support.

Per the family's request, AnnMarie's services will be held privately.
