Barbara (Krol) Rymer

April 13, 1942 — April 30, 2018

Barbara (Krol) Rymer, age 76 of Winter Garden, Florida passed away peacefully on April 30th surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife to James Rymer for 54 years.

Born in Melrose, MA on April 13, 1942 she was the daughter of Henry and Ann (Norton) Krol. Barbara graduated from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield. She then enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served her county as a Navy Wave. While in the Navy she met Jim and they married September 21, 1963 at St. Florence Church in Wakefield.

They started raising their family in Rochester New York and later settled in Concord, MA where together they raised their loving family. Barbara was a devoted wife and homemaker who worked for many years as an EKG Technician at Emerson Hospital in Concord, and as the school nurse at the Carroll School in Lincoln. In 1999 Barbara and Jim made the decision to move to the Orlando Florida area to work for Walt Disney World. Working at Disney for 14 ½ years was her favorite job ever.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family. Holiday gatherings, birthday celebrations and other events were always cherished. She enjoyed traveling and was more of a thrill seeker than people would have thought. She went sky-diving, parasailing, hang gliding, hot air ballooning and even helicoptered over a volcano in Hawaii. She enjoyed quilting and always enjoyed reading a good book.

Barbara is survived by her husband Jim, two daughters Cheryl (Rymer) Rivenburg and her husband Carl Rivenburg of Littleton Massachusetts, Karen Rymer-Blocher and her husband William Blocher of Ayer Massachusetts, a son William Rymer and his wife Erin of Worcester Massachusetts and her grandchildren Christopher, Timothy and Daniel Rymer of Littleton, Andrew and Elizabeth Rymer of Worcester and great granddaughter Kiera Rose Belford. She is also survived by her brothers Richard Krol of Florida, John Krol of Reading and Steven Krol of Boston. Her brother Henry (Skip) Krol predeceased her.
