Beulah Viola (Blevins) Peterson

Concord, Massachusetts

Beulah Viola (Blevins) Peterson passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 94. She was born in 1929 to Hannah and Robert Blevins in Fawn Township, PA. She grew up on a farm where she would help take care of the chickens and pick strawberries and apples. After graduating from the local high school, Beulah attended Thompson College in York, PA, where she studied Ediphone Stenography. After completing the program in 1950, she went on to work in offices with the goal of earning the money to attend modeling school. In 1955, Beulah enrolled at Grace Downs Model and Air Career School in New York City which led to her job as a Stewardess at Capital Airlines. She loved that her job allowed her to travel and meet many different people! Beulah lived in the Buffalo, NY area and flew from Buffalo to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia on Viscount and DC3 airplanes. 

In 1959, she married Marvin Peterson and moved to Marlboro, MA where she and Marvin raised their 2 daughters and attended St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Beulah continued to stay busy as a room parent, working as a card merchandiser for American Greetings and grocery cashier when her daughters were in school. Beulah later lived in Littleton, MA for 25 years where she made many friends, enjoyed attending Curves exercise classes, going for long walks, and traveling with her daughters to Newport, Maine, Florida, and Bermuda. In her final years, she lived at Nashoba Park Assisted Living in Ayer, MA where she continued to enjoy the daily exercise classes, arts and crafts, and playing Bingo! 

Beulah is survived by her sister Margie Myers and her husband Earl of Red Lion, PA; daughter, Linda Prince of Groton, MA and her husband Kevin; daughter, Karen Brown of St. Petersburg, FL. She is the loving grandmother of Kaila Regan and fiancé Jacob Allen of Land O Lakes, FL; Elise Prince and fiancé Austin Hicks of Burrillville, RI; Keara Prince of Boston, MA and Aidan Prince of Groton, MA. She is also loving Aunt 'B' to many nieces and nephews. Beulah was preceded in death by her former husband, Marvin Peterson; her sisters, Virginia Reinhart, Irene Takach and Evelyn Brayman. 

 A private ceremony will be held on July 30, 2024, in New Park, PA to celebrate her life.
