Beverly Ann (Minch) Miller, age 72, of Westford passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving and devoted wife to James L. Miller.
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on December 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Fred D. and Glenys M. (Flitsch) Minch. Raised and educated in Lancaster, Wisconsin, Beverly graduated from Lancaster High School. She later attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, earning her RN Degree in 1965.
Beverly and Jim married on July 23, 1966, and soon settled in Westford to raise their loving family. Beverly worked as a Registered Nurse at Pediatrics West in Westford, MA for 25 years. Prior to that, she worked as an RN at Waltham Hospital and St Joseph's Hospital in Lowell.
Beverly had a wonderful zest for life and cherished time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. An avid quilter, she was active in the Chelmsford Quilt Guild and a board member of the New England Quilt Museum. She also enjoyed travel, taking numerous cruises with Jim to destinations across the globe.
Beverly will be remembered for her kind, caring and giving nature. This was best exemplified through her willingness to care for and help almost anyone, including her beloved cats, all rescues. She made and donated quilts to wounded war veterans and most recently, Houston flood victims.
Along with her husband Jim, she is survived by her son Scott Miller, his wife Anna, and their son, her daughter Susan Shih, and her husband Jeff, and their children. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Sutter and brother Randy Minch and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Beverly on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford.
