Beverly Jean Pitman, age 77, of Leominster, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Beverly Jean Pitman was born on July 31, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of the late Donavon Fay Pitman and Lorraine Opal (Bergum) Pitman. Raised and educated in Colorado Springs, Beverly graduated from Wasson High School and Blair Business College with a degree in stenography.
Beverly eventually moved to Massachusetts and settled in the town of Lunenburg. She worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines for 46 years, during which time she traveled the world and frequently visited some of her favorite places: London, Paris, Switzerland, and Japan. Beverly enjoyed learning about other cultures through her travels.
In her spare time, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to Colorado to visit her family. She was also an accomplished seamstress, much like her mother before her, and enjoyed needlepoint.
Beverly is survived by her daughter Meredith (Malvey) Richardson and son-in-law Todd Richardson—both residents of Littleton—and her son Kevin Malvey of Leominster. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adeline and Declan Richardson, and her sister Janet (Pitman) Pompeo and brother-in-law Byron Pompeo, who reside in Montrose, Colorado.
Services at Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton will be private.
