Carl Johanson

March 14, 1927 — November 13, 2015

    Carl “Ray” Johanson 88, of Leominster, Formerly of Littleton, died on November 13, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton. He was born in Waltham, MA on March 14, 1927 son of the late Carl and Hulda (Berggren) Johanson. He grew up in the Long Lake section of Littleton and attended the Littleton School System. Mr. Johanson served in the U. S Army Air Corps during WW2.   After the service he was married in 1948 to Gladys (Fichtner) Johanson who died in 2012. He worked with his father as a machinist for several years, later in the automobile business and then as a trucker and heavy equipment operator for San-Vel Corp. in Littleton for 20 years retiring in 1989.   He liked camping, and fishing both in salt water and fresh water. Ray was also a member of the American Legion and the Shirley Rod and Gun Club   His survivors include his wife Gail (Cloutier) Johanson of Leominster, his children Carl R. Johanson, Jr of Greenville, NH, Paul F. Johanson of Alabama, Mark A. Johanson of Westford, Winnifred Pickard of Lunenburg and Lillian Ronzio of Westminster, He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren
