Carol Ann (Barbuto) Dyer age 77 of Nashua, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and daughters by her side on April 23, 2023, after a brave battle against pancreatic cancer.
Carol Ann, daughter of the late Lt Col Rocco J and Dorothea (Flynn) Barbuto, was the beloved wife of William F Dyer, to whom she was married for 57 years. Carol Ann was also the devoted mother of Sheryl Ann and her husband Charles Jacoppo of Charlotte NC, Michelle Turner and her partner Doug Burnes of North Chelmsford, MA. She is also the proud Mimi of Paul and his wife Kasey, Kevin, Scott and Paige Jacoppo, Nicole Turner, and the late Dustin Turner, the proudest Meme’ to Parker and Paisley Jacoppo; Loving Sister to Rocco Jr and Christine Barbuto, Jane and Stephen Brenner, Ann Marie and Daniel Walsh, Diane and Jeffrey Lanzillo and the late Raymond Barbuto; beloved sister-in-law to Richard Dyer, Diane and Joe Berkeley, Donna Murray, and Robert Cormier. During her illness, Carol Ann had the unending support of her extended family, especially her husband and two daughters. She was surrounded by love, which is something she readily dispensed to others throughout her lifetime.
Born in Allston MA, she belonged to a military family, which meant she did a lot of traveling , not to mention lived in different places like Germany, New Jersey and Georgia. She eventually remained behind to graduate from Brighton High school in 1964.
Carol Ann married her childhood sweetheart Bill in 1966, before he was deployed. Once back in the United States they stayed in Allston before moving to Kentucky for two years, then returning to Massachusetts and settling down in Tewksbury to raise their family.
Carol Ann worked a variety of jobs before retiring from The American Cancer Society. Her passions included cooking, entertaining, playing dominoes and other games with family and friends. In their retirement years, she and her husband enjoyed wintering in Florida, where they had no shortage of gaming partners and laughter. She will be greatly missed by those who know her.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Carol for visiting hours on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St Littleton, MA. A prayer service will follow at 3:00 pm.
