With a heart filled with generosity, passion and spirit infused with adventure, Carolyn's presence was a gift to all who knew her. A lifelong resident of Massachusetts, she made Groton her home, creating a life of joy and fulfillment that touched many.
Carolyn was a talented individual who brought her creativity and skill into every endeavor she undertook. Her career at AT&T as a Supervisor was a testament to her dedication and commitment. Even after retirement, her passionate nature found solace in her hobbies. She was a natural builder, always handy around the house, and had a genuine love for cars and boats. As a testament to her love for boating, she served as the Commodore of the Massachusetts Boating Yacht Club Association, Commodore of Watertown Yacht Club, a position she held with grace and dignity. Carolyn's passion didn't end there; she was an accomplished cook who took joy in feeding others, adding a pinch of love into every dish she crafted. She was also an adventurous traveler, always ready to explore new horizons and embrace new experiences, and in her last few months, Carolyn was an avid Celtics fan. Her love for softball saw her engage in numerous games, echoing her love for teamwork and camaraderie.
Perhaps the most defining aspect of Carolyn's life was her profound love for her friends, family and her pets. Carolyn's generous and loving nature extended to her animals as well, most notably, her black cat, Magic. Initially a feral cat, Magic formed an extraordinary bond with Carolyn, reflecting her innate compassion and love for all living beings. Carol was beyond passionate about every aspect of her life. Her generosity was never unnoticed by those around her. Carolyn's life was filled with amazing friends, due to her personality and generosity. Friends were truly the center of her world.
Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Marilyn (Bargoot) Griffin and Janyce (Bargoot) Thurlow, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eileen "Grace" Bargoot. She also leaves behind her nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.
