Carolyn R. Gentile

Carolyn Ruth Gentile, of Pepperell, Ma, died June 23, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brockton, MA the daughter of the late Forrest and Bernice Pratt.

Carolyn was a graduate of Stoughton High School and attended Mount Wachusett Community College. In her youth, she was a member of a synchronized swimming show that performed in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and numerous cities in the United States. In addition, she was a swimming instructor and choreographer for many swim shows in the State.

She was the loving wife of the late Ted Gentile. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Schwartz and her husband Dan, Christine D'Angelo and her husband Charles, and Cynthia Tilton and her husband Rob, a son, Ted Gentile and his wife Sally, a brother, Richard Pratt and his wife Linda, eight grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Pratt and his wife Evelyn.

Visiting hours at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant St., Pepperell on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 12:30 pm. Burial at Pepperell Cemetery in Pepperell.
