Charles A. "Chucky" Sweatt, lifelong resident of Littleton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 12th, at the age of 56. Chucky was pre-deceased by his father, Melvin Sweatt, and nephew, Adam Ripley. He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Anne (Conville) Sweatt, his son, Charles R. "CJ" (Abby) Sweatt of Baldwinsville, NY, sisters Leslie (Scott) Ripley of Littleton, Cheryl (Kevin) Campbell of Acton, nieces Lexi Ripley and Sarah Campbell, and CJ's mother, Sheila Devaney, of Baldwinsville, NY.
Chucky was born on July 25, 1961, to Anne (Conville) Sweatt and the late Melvin Sweatt. Chucky attended and graduated from Littleton public schools. He originally worked as a glazier but made his living as a Master Finish Carpenter and loved to build custom furniture. He was an excellent cook and loved hosting rowdy Labor Day parties at his parents' house. Chucky enjoyed all New England sports, but especially loved watching and talking about the Boston Red Sox. He liked to visit Florida to see his friend, Ben, and go to NASCAR races. Chucky always had a soft spot for pets; he was especially attached to his dog, Jake, and Anne's cat, Max. Chucky was a hard-working, smart, and caring man who will be deeply missed.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Chucky on Sunday, April 22nd, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 23rd, at 9:00 AM at St. Anne's Church, 75 King Street, Littleton. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Chucky's name may be made out to Anne Sweatt to assist with his services. Thank you.
