Cheryl Elaine (Walker) Forest

Cheryl Walker Cote Forest age 69, of Orange, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 21, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Elaine (Rushford) Walker of Orange. She was formerly married to Charles Cote of Athol, and recently celebrated a 40-year marriage anniversary to Thomas Forest of Orange.

Born in Springfield, MA on April 20, 1949, her family moved to Orange in the 1950's, and she was a graduate of the Ralph C Mahar Regional High School, class of 1967.

She had long worked as a nurse's aide at the former Eastern Star Home in Orange and more recently at MCI also in Orange.

Cheryl enjoyed reading, knitting, doing crafts, watching "Dancing with the Stars", and spending time with friends and family and especially her dog, Buddy.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Gary Walker, and leaves behind her husband, Thomas Forest of Orange, daughter, Niki and her husband Michael Parzyck of Pittsfield, MA; her son, Charles, and wife Laura Cote of Pelham, NH; sister Linda and Tim Croughwell of Athol; brother Gregg and wife Lisa Walker of Corona, CA; and 2 grandchildren Paige of Morgantown, WV and Paiton of Dallas, TX. She also leaves nephews Andrew Walker of South Carolina and Travis of CA, and niece Sabrina also of CA.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Cheryl on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
