With heartfelt reverence, we honor the life of Clare Yannacopoulos, a vibrant soul whose spirit was as captivating as her resilience was strong. Born on March 19, 1961, in Boston, MA, Clare's story is one of inspiration and pure joy. A hairstylist by trade, Clare worked for 35 years at Shear Madness in Littleton. Clare found joy in enhancing the beauty of others, and her compassionate nature made the salon more than just a business, but a haven of warmth, laughter, and camaraderie.
Raised in Concord, then residing in Littleton, Massachusetts, Clare nurtured a deep love for the beach, often finding solace in the rhythm of the waves. She was an avid swimmer; in addition to swimming for Concord-Carlisle High School, she was a member of the Boston Barracudas Swim Team. Her love for the water was matched only by her love for motorcycles. Clare's balance of strength and softness was reflected in her love for these powerful machines and the tranquil serenity of the sea. Her resilience was a testament to her strength, her spirit echoing the roar of the motorcycles she so loved.
Clare was generous to a fault and included everyone in her wide circle of friends and family in her generosity. She helped everyone and anyone with grace and kindness, often providing food as comfort. Clare was a wonderful cook.
Clare's most cherished role was that of a mother to her four children, Elijah, Alanna, Caroline, and CarlyLauren. For her, motherhood was not just a role, but a calling. Her love knew no bounds, and she considered her children her greatest accomplishment. From Pop Warner football and cheerleading to Special Olympics events, Clare had her children involved in myriad activities.
Clare is survived by her siblings, Charles Pessia and his wife, Rosemarie; her brother, Michael Pessia; Barbara Jean "BJ" Pessia; and her grandson, Isaac Pessia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Pessia and Ann Miller, and her brother, Paul Pessia.
