Cornelius J. (Odie) O'Donnell of Pepperell, MA died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Apple Valley Nursing Home in Ayer, MA.
Born in Woburn on July 30, 1930, he was the son of the late Hubert and Mary (Slaney) O'Donnell. A graduate of Woburn High School, Class of 1947, Odie enlisted in the United States Navy and served overseas in Europe as part of the post-WW II occupation. Odie was honorably discharged on February 1, 1950. Upon returning home from the Navy, he was part of the Hubert O'Donnell & Sons Painting Co. in Woburn, before moving to Pepperell and joining the former Murray Printing Company in Westford as a press operator for 30 years.
Odie is survived by his four children, daughters Cathy Lundeen and her husband Don of Pepperell; Sandy Hartnett and her husband Michael of Pepperell; Judi Naar and her husband Reggie of Londonderry, NH; and his son Daniel O'Donnell of Pepperell. Ten grandchildren, Matthew Lundeen, Jessica Lundeen and Shannon Lundeen of Pepperell; Meghan Ducko and her husband Andrew of Langhorne, PA, Jenilynn Hartnett of Somerville, MA and Michael P. Hartnett of Pepperell; Jillian Naar, Alexa Naar, Jacob Naar and Ava Naar, all of Londonderry, NH; and his first great grandchild, Max Ducko of Langhorne, PA.
Odie is also survived by his brother Phillip O'Donnell and his wife Luci of Missouri. He was predeceased by his wife Ann (Hubbard) O'Donnell, his brother Junie O'Donnell, and sisters Rita Noonan and Mary O'Donnell Fox.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
