David C. McGloughlin

David C. McGloughlin, a loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend of many, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 61. David was the devoted husband of the late Diane M. (Spinelli) McGloughlin.

David was born in Boston on January 9, 1956, the son of the late David C. and Rosalie (LaPorte) McGloughlin. He grew up on Shawsheen Street in Tewksbury and graduated from Austin Preparatory School in Reading.

David and Diane married on May 19, 1979 and moved to Littleton in 1989 where together they raised their loving family. David owned and operated a gas station and car wash in Littleton for many years before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, time at the ocean, joking around with his grandkids, and there was never a task too big or small when helping out friends or family.

He leaves his loving children Michele D. Allan and her husband Michael of Lunenburg, Katie Miller and her husband Matthew of Enfield, CT and David C. McGloughlin and his wife Lindsay of Ayer; his cherished eight grandchildren, Amanda, Alyssa, Alexis, Ryan, Morgan, Juliet, Chloe, and Charles; his brothers Robert D. McGloughlin of Dracut, Jack McGloughlin of Lowell and sisters Kathleen Ahearn of Atkinson, NH and Mary Marks and her husband Lester, of Riverview, FL; a brother-in-law, Michael J. Spinelli, Jr. of Hudson, NH and sister-in-laws, Susan Olson and her husband John of Sandown, NH and Carol Field and her husband, Robert of Plaistow, NH. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember David on Wednesday, Aug. 30 from 5-8 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton. His funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 11:30 am in St. William Parish, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
