David Michael Wheeler

November 15, 1948 — May 16, 2026

Ashby, Massachusetts

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of David Michael Wheeler, age 77, of Ashby, Massachusetts, on May 16, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Krystal (Stevens) Wheeler for 29 years.

Born on November 15, 1948, in Concord, Massachusetts, David was the son of the late James and Mary Wheeler. He was raised in Westford and was a graduate of Westford Academy.

David built a strong and hardworking life. He owned and operated his own business, WheelMore Trucking, along with holding many other jobs throughout his years. He ultimately retired as a proud and dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 4. His work ethic, skill, and commitment earned him the respect of many, especially those who had the opportunity to work alongside him.

David had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures, along with a spirited sense of fun, enjoying laughter, good times, and a bit of mischief over the years with the people he loved most. He and his wife, Krystal, loved to travel, cherishing the memories they created together along the way. He enjoyed camping, attending events, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycle pulling and the community surrounding it. Through BayState Harley Pullers, he, along with his wife, helped organize and participate in local pulling events for many years. It meant a great deal to him to see this passion come full circle again later in life with OMT (One More Time) Harley Pullers.

Among his favorite adventures were the “Wheeler Brothers’ Expeditions,” traveling to places such as Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. He was happiest when surrounded by those he cared about and often said, “It’s not where you go, but who you go with,” reflecting how deeply he valued time spent with loved ones.

David is survived by his loving wife, Krystal Wheeler. He is also survived by his siblings: Janet Wheeler, Wayne and Nancy Wheeler; Allan Wheeler and Pat Contois; Dr. Robert and Karen Wheeler; and Ronald Wheeler.

David is also survived by many who loved and will miss him, including an extended family of friends: step-children Sharon Morey and John Landry; grandchildren Josh (JT) and Jerrica Morey, Jessica Morey, and Mark Crockett; and great-grandchildren Nathan Morey and Adalyn Morey.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Wheeler, and his siblings Audrey Wickman, Floyd Wheeler, Stephen Wheeler, and Richard Wheeler.

David was the very best to his family and to his friends—as a son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather—and he will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember David from 5:00 p.m. –8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19th, 2026,  at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer or early fall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David’s name to any local animal rescue organization, in honor of the many rescue animals he and his wife lovingly cared for over the years, including his special Chihuahua, Shadow.

Arrangements under the care of the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, MA. 978-486-3709, www.badgerfuneral.com.
