Dennis "Dennie" Guthrie, 69 of Littleton, died at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA on October 1, 2013. He was born in Ayer on November 9, 1943 son of Martha (Willis) Guthrie of Ayer and the late Clayton Guthrie. Dennie grew up in Ayer and Littleton area and was a graduate of Leominster Technical School. Dennie served in the U.S. Navy completing 2 tours in Vietnam. After the Military, he moved to San Jose, California and then made his home in Oregon until 2001. Dennie then move back to the Littleton area after connecting with his High School Sweetheart in 2000.

Dennie had been employed as an HVAC technician for the past 21 years; most recently for the Department of Defense at Hanscom Air Base in Bedford, MA. Dennie loved to putter and got great satisfaction in building a cottage on Frye Island in Maine. There he loved to fish and go out in "The Boat" and totally relax.

Besides his mother, Dennie is survived by his wife Jacqueline (Gray) Guthrie of Littleton and children, Dennis E, Guthrie Jr, of Portland Oregon, Denise and her husband Hugh Callahan of Battle Ground , WA; Lynne Luce of Lowell, Brandi Bryson, of Ayer and Shane Flannery and his wife Danielle of Farmington, ME; along with Nine Grandchildren: Liam and Sean Callahan of Washington, Christopher Luce of Washington, Ashley Luce of Lowell, Leo and Alexia Flannery of Farmington, ME; Andre Mayorga of Ayer, and Ryan and Garrett Smith of Farmington, ME. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Guthrie, of Pepperell.

Visiting hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. Littleton on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 1-3 pm with a Funeral Service at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please contribute in his memory to the American Red Cross or donate blood as he did frequently.
