Dianne Carol Martino

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Dianne Carol Martino, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Dianne departed this world in the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2026, following a brief illness with her loving husband by her side. She was 78 years old.

Born on April 14, 1947, in Wakefield, MA, Dianne was the loving daughter of Ida Claire (Russo) and Kenneth G. Munro, whom she is now reunited with. She grew up in a warm and loving home, which instilled in her a sense of kindness and dedication that she carried throughout her life.

Dianne graduated from Littleton High School in 1965, a milestone that marked the beginning of a life rich with love, family, and humor. She initially worked at Hanscom Air Force Base, but her true calling was found in her roles as a devoted mother and a passionate antiques dealer. Together with her husband, Ronald Martino, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage and built a loving home in Groton, MA.

Dianne's life was a tapestry of vibrant interests and steadfast dedication. Known for her signature bright nail polish and ruby red lipstick, she was quick-witted, kind, and passionately devoted to her family. A voracious reader, she loved the works of James Patterson, completing nearly 300 of his books in the last year of her life. Her visits to the Used Book Superstore were frequent, bringing home more books in a single trip than many people read in a lifetime.

Her weekends were often spent with her husband Ron, searching for treasures at local yard sales that she could later sell at area flea markets. Dianne's love for animals, especially her many beloved cats and dogs over the years, was profound. Her family fondly remembers her love for art, books, and a good bargain.

Despite the challenges she faced, including surviving a stroke three and a half years ago, Dianne's resilience was unwavering. She defied the odds and enjoyed nearly four extra years with those she loved most. Her laughter, love, and humor will leave an impression on everyone who loved her, and she will be profoundly missed.

Dianne is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald; her son, Brent Martino, and his wife Shannon Clark of Shirley; and her daughter, Tracy Martino of Groton. She also leaves behind her brother, Ken Munro of Venice, FL. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Brooke Martino of Melrose, Connor Martino and Craig Clark of Shirley, and Joshua Blast of Groton, as well as her great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Trevor Clark. She will be missed by numerous other family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and beautiful spirit.

Dianne wished to have a private celebration of life, which will be held at a later date this spring.
