OBITUARY – MEREDITH C. ‘DOLLY’ DUNCANNASHUA- Meredith ‘Dolly’ C. (Cummings) Duncan, 86, died peacefully Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Aynsley Place in Nashua surrounded by her loving family. Dolly is the beloved wife of Richard E. Duncan with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.Dolly was born in Nashua on October 13, 1932 and was the daughter of the late John H. and Viola (Harris) Cummings.She enjoyed reading and baking delicious treats for her family and friends. The home she created was a cozy haven for her family and a magical place during the holidays A gifted storyteller, she made the charm of Pepperell in the 30's and 40's and the Bell Farm of Hollis come alive for her children and grandchildren. Dolly was also an extremely talented seamstress, creating clothes and Halloween costumes for her children and a beautiful wedding gown for her daughter. A generous giver of her time and talents, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.In addition to her husband Richard, Dolly is survived by her children Chris Duncan and Cindy of Milford, Lee Wadleigh and Dan of Hollis and Richard Duncan of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Cummings of Florida and Carolyn Lingley and Laurie of Hollis; as well as many nieces and nephews.Dolly was predeceased by her son Daniel Duncan and his wife Mary as well as her granddaughter Elizabeth Wadleigh.Relatives and friends are invited to Dolly’s visitation on SUNDAY, November 11th from 2 until 4 PM at MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME,16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA. Her prayer service will take place at 4 PM in the Funeral Home.
