Dolores Regina Miller, a compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. She was born on June 27, 1935, in Cohoes, New York. Raised in Watervliet, New York, in a predominantly Polish community. Bringing her Polish heritage to different aspects of her life was something she was extremely proud of. Sunday dinners often included her delicious golumpki, and every family wedding a festive Polka. Dolores, a woman of great strength, loyalty, and support, and a source of constant love and inspiration for her family. With a heart full of kindness, she touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy filled with memorable moments of joy, laughter, and love.
For twenty years, Dolores worked as an administrative secretary at Digital Equipment Corporation, where her dedication, hard work, and tenacity were known and admired. Despite her professional commitments, her greatest passion was her family, whom she loved unconditionally. Alongside this, she found great solace in painting, a hobby that allowed her to express her creativity and view of the world. As a loyal fan of the Boston Bruins, she rarely missed a game, and her enthusiasm for the sport was infectious. Dolores was also a dedicated Catholic, her faith being a guiding force throughout her life. This combination of passions and commitments painted a vivid picture of a woman who was as diverse as she was dedicated.
She was the beloved mother of Mark Miller, Michelle Airey, Paulette Wright, Scott Miller and his wife Kelly Miller, and Cheryl Wuoti. Dolores was a cherished grandmother to Tyler Wuoti, Becca Higgins, Ash Jenks, Angelina Jenks, Michael Jenks, Breana Lafferty, Joshua Miller, Connor Airey, Nicole Airey Merrow, Lauren Airey, Benjamin Wright, Halle Wright, Jocelyn Wright, and Christopher Wright, and her great-grandchild, Shaye Lafferty. Dolores leaves behind her beloved brother-in-law, Harvey Dickson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Anna Drzewiecki, her husband, Henry Miller, her dear sister, Marion Dickson, her granddaughter, Laci Shaye Wright, and her great-granddaughter, Elsie Maeve Lafferty.
Family and friends will gather to honor Dolores for a period of Visitation on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Badger Groton Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton, Massachusetts, 01450. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00am at St Anthony of Padua Church, 14 Phoenix Street, Shirley, Massachusetts, 01464.
