Dorothy Odell

Dorothy "Dot" (McDaniel) (Cramb) Odell, 96, of Groton died at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer on March 2, 2014. She was born in Melrose on December 23, 1917. Dorothy grew up in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1936. She went on to to work for Kraft Inc., for several years and then married Charles Cramb. They moved to Groton in 1958 and she became a loan officer at Nashoba Credit Union. She retired in 1989. . After Mr. Cramb died in 1974 she married Edward Odell in 1979. And he died in 2002
Mrs., Odell was a member of the Ida McKinley Chapter of the Easter Star, Women's Auxiliary, an avid golfer, an equestrian in her early life, and enjoyed reading and loved Maine coastal shores where she vacationed in the summer. She had many friends and loved spending time with them. She was a member of the "Ladies Dunkin Donuts Group" that met for over 25 years.

She is survived by her children Charles and his wife Frances Cramb. of Vero Beach, FL. and Gayle Curley of Groton. 4 Grandchildren Nicholas and his wife Kate Cramb, Patrick and his wife Gretchen Cramb, Kendra Curley and Tyler Curley, four Great Grandchildren, and from her second marriage Edward and Corey Odell and their four children, Ed, Myles, Curtis and Gavin Odell.
Visiting Hours will be Thursday March 6, 2014 at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton from 4-6 pm with a Funeral Service at 6 pm. Burial at Groton Cemetery in the Spring.
