Edith Williamson

LITTLETON -- Edith M. (Ryan) Williamson, loving mother and grandmother, passed away having lived 95 wonderful years of life. Edith was known for her sharp sense of humor, keen wit, friendliness and natural ability to enjoy life with laughter. She loved her family, the daily crossword puzzle, walks in the neighborhood, car rides, hot dogs and ice cream.

Born in Lowell on August 17, 1919, Edith was the wife of the late George A. Williamson and the daughter of the late J. D. Willard Ryan and Margaret Ryan. Edith lived in Lowell for 54 years and Littleton for the past 35 years.

A 1935 graduate of Lowell High School, Edith also attended Bradshaw Business School. A member of the First Baptist Church of Littleton and past member of the Littleton Senior Citizens Club, Edith also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Edith worked as an Administrative Assistant at Raytheon and Digital Equipment Corporation.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Willett and her husband Bernie of Atkinson, NH and Carol Miller of Littleton; grandchildren Kim Miller Mayo and her husband John, Jeff Miller and his wife Megan, Kristen Miller, Erin Willett Hiro and her husband Joe and great-grandson Ryan Hiro. Edith was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth Ryan and Robert Ryan, and son-in-law Bruce Miller.

Visiting hours will be at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, on Thursday, April 23rd, from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 24th, at 10:00 am. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery.
