Edward T. Gillogly

Edward T. Gillogly Jr., age 52, of Spofford, NH and formerly of Pepperell, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 14, 2013 at UMASS Hospital in Worcester.

Born March 21, 1960 in Groton, MA, he was the son of Edward T. and Judith (Tierney) Gillogly. He attended Country Day School of the Holy Union in Groton, MA and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, MA Class of 1978. Ed was the Vice President for the Class of 1978 during his junior year. He furthered his education graduating from the University of Maine in Orono, ME earning an Agriculture/Business degree, also a member of Fraternity of Alpha Gamma Rho. Previously he had been employed by businesses in the Keene, NH area. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting and was an avid sports fan. Ed was very involved with youth baseball while serving as the Umpiring Coordinator of the Connecticut Valley Baseball League. In his youth, Ed was also very active in 4-H.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Ryan Gillogly of Spofford, NH, two sisters, Sharon Gillogly of Charlotte, NC, and Donna Gillogly of Holden, MA; his niece, Mya Mosley and his nephew, Marcus Mosley both of Holden, MA; also many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was formerly married to Heidi Stubbs.

Relatives and friends may call at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant St., Pepperell, MA on Monday, March 18th from 3 to 8 p.m. His funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to a youth sports league of your choice. Burial will be at a later date.
