Edwina M. (McCarthy) Cotton, 97, died Friday, July 3rd at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John H. Cotton who died in 2014.
Mrs. Cotton was born in Westford (Graniteville), MA on May 24, 1918, the daughter of the late Thomas and Valliria (Gagnon) McCarthy. She had been a resident of Pepperell for the greater part of her life. She owned and operated the Beauty Box on Nashua Road for several years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Cotton Waldo and her husband Peter of Pepperell; two sons, Joseph M Cotton and his wife, Linda of Westford and John P. Cotton and his wife, Joanne of Pepperell; her twin sister, Kathleen Frame of Soldotna, Alaska and her brother Robert McCarthy and his wife, Virginia of Miami, Florida; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 with a funeral mass celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell, MA. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
