Elaine W. (Johnson) Nolan, 70, of Dracut, formerly of Arlington passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John R. Nolan.
Elaine was born on May 9, 1949, a daughter to the late Alan and Phyllis (DeLaurier) Johnson. She grew up in Medford and attended Mount Auburn School of Nursing. In between raising her three sons, she was a nurse at Mount Auburn Hospital and the Fernald School for many years. She cherished her time at she and John's house on Ossipee Lake where her family would gather for summer weekends to enjoy cruising the channels, swimming, and kayaking. This past summer she spent her 60th year vacationing on Newfound Lake at the Nolan family's heaven on earth, Camp Wulamat. She loved loud music, delighted in a good bargain, and relished treating her grandchildren to anything that would make them smile. Family was paramount in Elaine's life and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren. She was a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be deeply missed.
Elaine is survived by her sons Brian, Kevin, and Mark; her daughters-in-law Tammy and Sarah; her brother Scott Johnson and his wife Lora of Okatie, South Carolina; her nephew Chris Johnson and his wife Bridget of Washington, D.C.; and the shining stars of her existence, grandchildren Tim, Shannon, Bella, Holly, Aidan, Lexi, Tyler, Nadia, Charlotte, and Izzy. She is predeceased by her husband and high school sweetheart John R. Nolan who died in 2004.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Elaine on Monday evening, December 30, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, December 31, 2019 at 9:00 AM in St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 N. Main St. Westford. Kindly gather at church. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
