Elaine Sparks

July 31, 1927 — March 26, 2016

 


 Littleton Elaine (Downey) Sparks, 88, a long-time Littleton resident, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 26 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Arthur W. Sparks.  She is survived by her four children, Linda Kane and her husband Robert of Marlborough; William Sparks and his wife Barbara of Chelmsford; Kimberly Taylor and her husband Gerald of Center Harbor, NH and Jami Byrne and her husband Thomas of Littleton.  She was a loving grandmother to Jason and Jarrod Taylor; Aubrey (Kelley) Gregory and Jennifer Sparks; Lindsay, Nicole, Aaron and Adam Byrne.


 


She was the daughter of the late Willard B. and Dorothy V. McSorley of Littleton, and the late Michael C. Downey of Cambridge; the loving sister of the late Margaret Benjamin of Schenectady, NY; the late Michael Downey of Cambridge; Olive Hebb and Dorothy McSorley of Ayer.  She was a dear friend and companion to the late Floyd Hartman of Littleton. And loving aunt to many nieces and nephews


 


 Elaine worked for Wilson’s Pharmacy in Littleton for over 40 years and for CVS Pharmacy in Littleton until she retired in 2005.  She loved spending time with her family, knitting, baking and playing bingo.  Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Care Dimensions/Hospice of Danvers, MA; with special thanks to Marjorie Rogers, RN, for her loving care and devotion during their mother’s illness.


Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, on Wednesday March 30, at from 4-8 pm.  Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Care Dimensions/Hospice, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B102, Danvers, MA  01923 or on line at www.CareDimensions.org<http://www.caredimensions.org/  Please see www.badgerfuneral.com
