Eleanor Jane Duda

Eleanor Jane (Brown) Duda, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 9, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center in Nashua, New Hampshire.
She was the wife of Thaddeus (Ted) Duda of 56 years and a longtime resident of Pepperell, Massachusetts.
Eleanor was born in Dracut, Massachusetts on April 7, 1933, the daughter of the late Raymond and Martha (Christynia) Brown. She attended Dracut schools and received an Associates Degree in Business from Fisher College.
Prior to her retirement, Eleanor worked as a Telemarketing Supervisor for New England Business Service in Groton, Massachusetts for twenty years.
Eleanor enjoyed life and was most happy when she was taking care of people particularly her husband, children and grandchildren. She also cherished all the conversations and time spent with her extended family and friends. Her generous spirit touched many.
She enjoyed going to Curves, reading, knitting, NFL football, traveling, cooking and supporting various charities in the community.
Besides her husband, Eleanor is survived by her sister Maureen (Brown) Villaras of Lowell, Massachusetts, her children Edward Duda of Kansas City, MO, Linda Hottel of Houston, TX, Valerie Duda of Pepperell, MA and Andrea Duda of Nashua, NH as well as four grandchildren Justen Gardner of Lowell, MA and Alaina, Jessica and Elizabeth Chalmers of Pepperell, MA. She is also survived by two Aunts, several cousins and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother John (Jackie) Brown and her son Anthony (Tony) Duda.
Visiting hours at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the funeral Home. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eleanor's memory to the Nashua Children's Home, 125 Amherst Street, Nashua, NH 03064 www.nashuachildrenshome.org.
