Elizabeth Thompson Moss

August 1, 1942 — February 24, 2025

Lunenburg, Massachusetts

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Thompson Moss, at the age of 82, on February 24th, 2025, after a surprising bout with a rare form of lung cancer.

Beth was born in Philadelphia and attended Abington High School and Penn State University. After graduating, Beth spent time in Boston where she was a teacher, married Rod Moss, and had two daughters. They settled in Lincoln, Massachusetts, where Beth was a stay-at-home mom and being there for her children was very important to her.

Beth loved writing and became a news reporter and photographer for a local newspaper. She later wrote a booklet “Pathways: Poems and Essays for a Lifetime” to give to her family, and “Pathways Part Two: Arizona Adventures.” While in Massachusetts, Beth, the ever entrepreneur, ran an events business for single men and women and became quite the matchmaker! She was very active in St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, serving on the Altar Guild.

After her family had grown, Beth ventured west and settled in Phoenix, Arizona. She obtained her realtor’s license and enjoyed working with interested buyers and sellers. She joined St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and was an usher for many years. She also ran a prayer service with a friend at the Justa Center, a center focused on older adults experiencing homelessness. This was a very spiritual and rewarding experience for her. She loved hiking the desert trails, swimming laps, golf, horseback riding, happy hours with friends, and traveling throughout the state, especially trips to the Grand Canyon. After 25 years she returned to Massachusetts in 2023 to be able to live nearby and spend time with her daughters and grandchildren. Her kind and generous spirit will live on in all the lives she touched.

Beth is survived by daughter Cathy King and husband, Jim, and their children, Brendan and Trevor, Diane Prunier and husband Josh, and their children Adam and Emily, sister Lucy Fetterolf and husband Pete, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Charles Thompson, and her sister Dororthy Booth.

Family and friends will gather for a period of memorial visitation on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, MA. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 10 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford, MA., followed by a reception in the parish hall.
