Elizabeth M. (Soyden) Shadan, a resident of Brewster, MA formerly of Lowell and Sandwich, MA died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, with her loving family by her side. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of 70 years to the recently deceased James T Shadan.
Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Helen (Thomas) and Thomas Soyden. She was born and grew up in Lowell, MA and graduated from St. Patrick's High School.
She held various jobs while raising her six children, but to Elizabeth her most important job was taking care of her husband, children, and home.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her beautiful personality, love of family, and her traditional Lebanese cooking. Lovingly known as Sitho to all, she had a unique gift of making each feel special. She made her home warm and welcoming to family and friends with her kindness and generosity. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Surviving her are her two sons, James and wife Alyce, of Sandwich, MA., Robert and wife Martha of Sandwich, MA. Her four daughters: Diana and husband Frank Archambault of Harwich Port, MA, Helene and husband Dennis Case of Harwich Port, MA, Noreen and husband Richard Dandurant of Bradford, MA, Marimargaret and husband Steve Foley of Pepperell, MA.
She also has eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a brother and sister-in-law Albert & Adela Soyden; and a sister-in-law Alma Soyden. She was predeceased by her sisters Nora LeQuin, Jenny Abraham, Rita Soyden, and brothers Peter Soyden, and Louis Soyden.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Parish, worshipping at St. Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pepperell. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.
