Elizabeth Louise Tramposch

Elizabeth L. Tramposch passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 24, 2019.

Betty leaves behind her daughters Kathleen Fahey, Karin Bakis and Jennifer Cray, her brother William Petro and his wife Maire, her grandchildren Robert Fahey, Thomas Fahey, Grace Fahey, John Bakis, Alicia Bakis, Edward Cray, Samuel Cray, her sons-in-law Dave Fahey, John Bakis, Edward Cray, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty was born in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth Petro. She grew up in Bellerose, NY and graduated from Sewanhaka High School in 1953. She went on to attend Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing, where she received her nursing degree in 1956 and continued her education at Adelphi College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1961. Betty began her career as a visiting nurse on Long Island and went on to work at Farmingdale College and the Greater Long Island Blood Bank.

Betty was an avid reader, traveled the world and enjoyed golfing on the lush courses around her home in Long Island. She was a kind, caring and loving person. After raising her three daughters in Deer Park, she moved to Acton, MA, to be closer to her family. More than anything, Betty enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren. She treasured attending their various sporting events, plays and musicals and attending special day activities at their schools. Betty would always show up with a huge smile and a hug for them when it was over. She loved being a Nana and will be missed by all.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember Betty for a period of visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Saint Anne Parish, 75 King Street, Littleton, MA 01460. Burial will be private.
