Elsie Houston

July 12, 1931 — September 6, 2015

Elsie Irene (Fogg) (Tuscher) Houston, 84, of Littleton, died unexpectedly at her home on September 6, 2015. She was born in North Pomfret, VT on July 12, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Arlene F. Fogg. She grew up in Vermont and married her first husband Mr. Clem Tuscher in 1947. She later married the late William F. Houston, Jr. in 1954. She worked as a real estate appraiser for many years. Elsie and her husband embraced volunteerism and spent 20 years volunteering for the National Parks Service in Big Cypress Natural Preserve in Florida.

Elsie has made her home in Littleton for 10 years and for the past 5 years volunteered for the Littleton Council on Aging preparing lunch and Meals on Wheels at the Senior Diner.

Surviving her are her five children: Diane Douglas of Littleton, MA, Carol Houston of Danielson, CT, Bruce Tuscher of Carver, MA, Brian Houston of Hamden, CT, Mark Houston of North Attleboro, MA, and 2 sisters Dianne Robinson of Statesville NC, and Louise Young of White River Junction, Vt. She was also the mother of the late Stephen Tuscher, William Houston, and Cassandra Houston. Elsie is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many relatives in Vermont.
