Ethel A. Morrill

Ethel A. Morrill, active member in the community died on January 6, 2012 after a period of declining health at the age of 98.

She was born in Pepperell on December 11, 1913, the daughter of Timothy A. and Harriett E. (Carkin) Blood and was the wife of the late Eugene C. Morrill. She was educated in the Pepperell School System. In her earlier years, she worked at the Pepperell Braiding Factory and later worked in the Printing Department at Bemis Company in Pepperell, retiring in 1979 after 40 years of service. She was an active 50 year member and past President for 12 years of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pepperell V.F.W. Post #3291. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, was active in Church affairs and was a volunteer for over 25 years at the Church Thrift Shop.

Mrs. Morrill was active at the Pepperell Senior Center and was a member of the Bemis 20 year Club and a former member of Prescott Grange #73. She was always there for the church, friends, and family.

She leaves her son, Eugene C. Morrill of California; 16 grandchildren including granddaughters, Vicki Manning and Shelley Craig and grandsons Kevin Antosh and Wayne Antosh and his wife Karen, her caregivers; 31 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her daughters, Beverly Haskell, Joan Antosh, and Judy Miller and her sister Gladys Arkerson.

Visiting hours at the MARCHAND FUNERAL HOME, 16 Pleasant Street, Pepperell, MA on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 1 Chapel Place, Pepperell, MA. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pepperell.
