Evelyn Rita (Ordway) Dorion, 99 and life-long resident of Pepperell passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was a devoted and loving wife of 52 years of the late Edward E. Dorion.
Born on September 08, 1922, in Pepperell, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Delia (McDonald) Ordway.
From an early age, family, faith, and community were predominant in Evelyn's life. She first met Edward on Cottage Street at the age of 15 not far away from her home and married on June 19, 1948, at Saint Joseph's Church in Pepperell.
Evelyn lived life to the fullest. Had a smile for everyone She enjoyed going out every day with family and visiting close friends. She loved going to Hampton Beach, attending band concerts and fireworks. She enjoyed long drives through the countryside of Vermont., Silver Lake in Hollis, and the White Mountains and Maine. Her dream was fulfilled by visiting Ireland with her family. She traveled extensively for the last twenty years. She took great pleasure in music, especially Irish and Classical music. She enjoyed attending concerts and the theatre in Boston. She sang in the choir for five years with her daughter Maureen and taught Sunday School at Saint Joseph's parish. Evelyn loved to dress up and had a hat for every occasion. Her genuine smile and vibrant spirit would brighten up everyone around her. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Evelyn's kindhearted presence and grace will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace mom.

Survived by her children, Gary L. Dorion of Thailand, Maureen A. Dorion of Pepperell, Thomas R. Dorion of Clinton, and Joseph P. Dorion of Pepperell. She is also survived by her Granddaughters Lori Dorion of Pepperell and Mikaila Baca Dorion of New York City, NY. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is predeceased by her son, Paul Dorion, and her siblings John Ordway, Fran Ordway, Joseph Ordway, Eileen Brown, and Leonard Ordway.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Evelyn for a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace, Saint Joseph's Church, 28 Tarbell Street, Pepperell. Evelyn will be laid to rest following the funeral Mass at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, 10 Jersey Street, Pepperell
