Evelyn (Calapa) Milani

Evelyn Milani, 89 passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 peacefully with family by her side.

Evelyn was born in Boston on October 10, 1932, daughter of Joseph C Calapa and Mattia (Ortolano) Calapa both from Italy. She married Alseo J Milani on June 11, 1950.

Evelyn is survived by 7 loving children, Carol Blanchard of Venice, FL, John Milani of Stoughton, MA, Janet Meehan of Lowell, MA Linda Hallowell of Louisville, KY, Lisa Stoddard of Granite Falls, NC, Anita Milani of Pepperell, MA and Andrea Stoops of Lebanon, ME. In addition to her husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her daughter Susan Gordon. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and countless great grandchildren who referred to her as "Great One".

To know Evelyn is to know that she hated garlic. If you ever asked her if she needed anything you get the same response... "Money". Evelyn loved to travel. She and her husband spent many years traveling to Arizona in their motorhome where they were members of the Minuteman Camping Association.

If you ever missed her phone call you would have gotten a message, "It's your favorite mother". And her two favorite sayings were "Good luck with that" and "Oh well". Evelyn was loved by all and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Evelyn for a period of visitation from 11:00AM until 2:00PM on Monday February 21, 2022 in the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School Street, Groton. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 2:00PM following visitation. Interment in Groton Cemetery will be held privately at a later date.
