Evelyn Irene (Leary) Wisnosky

Pepperell, Massachusetts

Evelyn Irene (Leary) Wisnosky of Gardner, formerly of Pepperell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age of 94. She was the wife of the late Robert Carey Wisnosky.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, on May 23, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred (Lund) Leary. She graduated from Pepperell High School in 1948 and after graduating high school, she married Robert. They remained in Pepperell, where they raised their loving family.

Evelyn worked as a supervisor for many years with New England Business Service in Townsend. She also worked part-time at Kemps Service Garage in Pepperell. During her spare time and retirement, she enjoyed volunteering for the Pan-Mass Challenge as one of the Over-the-Hill Cheerleaders, cheering on the many riders for 25 years. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats, volunteering at a cat shelter, knitting, and crocheting, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her children, Karyn Margarita and her husband John of Gardner, Kyle Pelletier and her husband James of Venice, FL, and Holly Leary Lopes and her husband Paulo of Wapakoneta, OH. She was the loving grandmother of Thomina Barrett Montville of Gardner, Derek Pelletier of Melbourne, FL, Tonya Barrett Hagelberg of Athol, Shawn Pelletier of Ashburnham, Tamela Barrett Deveikis of Baldwinville, Brooke Murray, Brandon Murray, Robert Murray, and Candice Wilson of Ohio, and Dayna Margarita-Dixon of Leominster. She was also the loving great-grandmother of 20 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Maureen Young of Pepperell and Brenda Hebert of Leominster. Mrs. Wisnosky was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas and Duane Leary.

Services for Evelyn at St. Joseph Cemetery, Pepperell, will be private.
