Gary E. Stanley

Gary E. Stanley, a long-time resident of Harvard, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Gary Stanley was born in Banbury, England on September 16, 1959, a son of the late William Stanley of Azle, TX and Molly (Redding) Stanley of Plymouth, MA.

Gary graduated from North Quincy High School and attended Bentley College briefly until he began managing a business at a very young age. He was a self-made business owner of an automotive repair service in Westford, MA.

He was an avid gardener and took much pride in his garden and landscaping. He even purchased a tractor and built his own stone wall. Gary always gave to those in need, whether it was repairing and refurbishing automobiles and donating them to the needy, or family members who needed assistance at various times. He was a selfless man who always put others before himself.

Gary had a big heart. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. Gary is survived by the love of his life Kathy Stanley of Harvard, MA, his sisters Shani Grady Simpson and her husband Bruce of Salem, NH, Lesley McKeen of Yarmouth, MA, Julie Cicalese and her husband Michael of Duxbury, MA, Fran Govoni and her husband John of Madison, NH, and his brother William Stanley of Whitman, MA. Gary was a beloved uncle to Greg, Molly, Nick, Victoria, Sarah, Emily, Lindsey, Lauren, and Billy, and a beloved great uncle to Kinsley, Mason, Khloee, Ellie, Sam, Cullen, and Donovan. He is also survived by his in-laws, many cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gary is also predeceased by his nephew Kalvin Grady.

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, MA.
