George Bissett

George Robert Bissett, 88 of Marlow, NH, formerly of Groton, MA, died on March 24, 2014 at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH. He was born in Groton on October 16, 1925 son of the late George E. and Hattie (Wright) Bissett and was the husband of the late Priscilla (Marriott) Bissett who died in 1994. Bob was a graduate of Groton High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WW2 stationed in Washington DC. He was married in 1948 and made his home in Groton for most of his life before moving to New Hampshire 9 years ago.
Mr. Bissett worked as a carpenter for most of his life and loved boating on Lost Lake in Groton.
His survivors include his daughters Wendy Brunson of Florida, Laura Manley of Groton and Jill Walker of Groton. His companion Mary Lawrence of Marlow NH, 5 Grandchildren, Todd Brunson, Trevor Brunson. Jonathan Manley, Erin Morrill, and Jesse Walker. And 4 Great Grandchildren. Jacob Morrill, Hailey Morrill, Leah Manley and Stella Manley.
