Gordon W. Leeds

Gordon Wayne Leeds, 81, of Townsend passed away peacefully on March 1, 2018, with family by his side. He was the husband of 57 years to Alice B. (Bernard) Leeds.

Gordon was born on September 01, 1936 in Fitchburg, son of Frederick and Laura (Congleton) Leeds, the youngest of nine children.

Gordon was a skilled and talented carpenter for many years working for both family businesses and private industry. He was an avid New England sports fan who rarely missed a game. He was also known to engage in many spirited games of cribbage.

Along with his wife he is survived by his daughter, Laurie A. Leeds, of Lunenburg, two sisters Dorothy Casker of Fitchburg and Sylvia Clifford of Iona, Michigan. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Frederick Leeds, and four sisters, Helen Pierce, Norma Leeds, Eileen Stacy, Ruth Leeds,

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Gordon for visiting hours on Friday, March 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton. Funeral service and interment will be private.
