Hamed Adam Hamzehdoost GROTON – Hamed Adam Hamzehdoost, 23, of Reedy Meadow Road, passed away on December 31, 2016. Born on May 16, 1993 in Sacramento, CA, he was the youngest child and beloved son of Cynthia Pitkin and Ahmad Hamzehdoost. He graduated from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School in 2011.
After studying for a semester at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, the open road called to him and he completed his first solo bicycle trip across the country to California, visiting friends and family along the way. His next adventure was a solo trip across Canada, ending in Oregon. Hamed returned to Middlesex Community College in Bedford to study biotechnology. He also worked part-time. Hamed was a lover of all things organic, playing music from his guitar, drums, and harmonica, learning yoga, reading at the library, and spending time in the great outdoors. Always looking for adventure he tanned a wolf hide, built teepees and lean-tos, and re-designed his bicycle. He was a kind and gentle soul with a contagious smile.
