Harry A. "Mike" Bennett

June 17, 1941 — December 10, 2020

Harry Bennett, known to most as "Mike Kelly" and long-time resident of Burlington, passed away in the presence of his family on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the age of 78. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Born in Burlington, NJ on June 17, 1941 he was the son of the late Marie (Bennett) Kelly and John Michael "Jack" Kelly.

Raised in Burlington, Mike graduated from Burlington City High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1960 and served until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a self-employed contractor for most of his life and enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his bike, and taking trips to the track. Mike spent his last years of life in Massachusetts enjoying time with his grandchildren. His family and friends will fondly remember his story telling, sense of humor, and appreciation for the simple things in life.

Mike is survived by his son, Eric Bennett and wife, Rachel, of Littleton Ma; two granddaughters Audrey and Ella who were his pride and joy, his brother Larry Kelly of Burlington, NJ, his sister Doris Hahn and husband George of Lewes, DE, his brother Robert "Bobby" Kelly of Roebling, NJ, and his sister Delores "Lou Lou" Collins of Burlington, NJ. Along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Charlotte Simcox.

A memorial gathering will be planned in Burlington to honor Mike in the spring, following the pandemic.
