Hugh Paul McGovern

Hugh Paul McGovern, 65, longtime resident of Littleton, passed away on Monday September 6, 2021. He was the loving partner of Beth Kelley of Groton and father of Hugh Paul McGovern Jr of Leominster.

Paul was born in Concord, MA on January 16, 1956, a son to Hugh Patrick McGovern and Mildred (Whitcomb) McGovern. Raised and educated in Littleton, Paul attended Littleton High School and graduated in 1975. Paul worked as a logger for Parlee Lumber from his younger years until the age of twenty. He then went on to work for himself clearing land, snow removal ariel tree work, and welding. In his retirement years, he enjoyed part time bartending, which kept him close to his life-long friends.

Paul is survived by his son, Hugh Paul McGovern Jr. of Leominster, his Mother, Millie McGovern of Littleton and his siblings: Margaret Busack and her husband John, of Leominster, Dennis McGovern and his wife Becky of Landaff, NH, Roger McGovern and his wife Joanne of New Ipswich, NH, and JoAnne Bishop of Leominster, MA. Paul is predeceased by his father, Hugh Patrick McGovern. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Paul for a period of visitation on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King Street, Littleton. A graveside service will take place on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Cemetery, 7 New Estate Road, Littleton.

A Celebration of Life will take place immediately following the services at the VFW Post 6539, 67 W. Prescott St, Westford MA 01886.
