James F "Jimpa" Basnett, 81, of Littleton died on December 17, 2013 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lowell on December 7, 1932 son of the late George and Nellie (Fletcher) Basnett. He grew up in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School
Jim made his home in Littleton for the past 53 years and owned and operated Jim's Auto Repair. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, and trips to Las Vegas.
His survivors include his wife of 59 years Irene M (Daigle) Basnett, 5 Daughters and 2 Sons: Bonnie J (Basnett) Feehan and Jef Feehan, Sandra L (Basnett) Tofanelli and Matt Tofanelli, Sharon L (Basnett) Lingham and Robert Lingham, Karen S (Basnett) Richter and Brian Richter, Robin (Basnett) Ashline and Joseph Ashline. James F Basnett Jr., Robert G and Lori Basnett and son in law Wayne Manni, Sixteen Grandchildren: Kaarlo Manni, Shannon (Feehan)Weigler, Thomas and Patrick Feehan, Nicholas and Marcus Tofanelli, Tanya, Danny, Emily and Courtney Richter, Shanyse Lingham, Derek, Cody and Mandy Ashline, Jake and Hannah Basnett And 2 Great Grandchildren: Mason Weigler and Rileigh Feehan. He was also the father of the late Deborah A (Basnett) Manni who died in 2005
