James T. Shadan, formerly of Lowell and Sandwich MA died Sunday, October 19, 2014, with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Soyden) with whom he would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 22.
Born in Manchester, NH, December 3, 1923 the son of the late Stella and Kalil (Charles) Shadan. He grew up in Lowell, MA and graduated from Lowell High School.
Upon retiring from ITT in Lawrence, MA as a supervisor, he worked alongside his sons at Shadan Electric in Sandwich. For many years, he and Betty wintered in Fl. Besides the love for his family, he was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan and also a member of the Chelmsford Elks.
Surviving him are his two sons, James and his wife Alyce, of Sandwich, MA., Robert and his wife Martha of Sandwich, MA.; his four daughters: Diana and her husband Frank Archambault, Harwich Port, MA, Helene and her husband Dennis Case, Harwich Port, MA, Noreen and her husband Richard Dandurant, Bradford, MA, Marimargaret and her husband Stephen Foley, Pepperell, MA.
He also has eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister - in-law Alma Soyden and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Albert & Adela Soyden; his cousins Richard Abood and Edward Shadan He was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Deslauriers , Mabel Namay and brothers Arthur and Philip.
