Janet Louise Eugene Morrissey

Janet Louise Eugene Morrissey (Calabria) passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley on March 16, 2019. She was born on June 5, 1939 in New York City, grew up in South Boston, and raised her family in Maynard, Ma. Janet was a self-taught chef who was employed for many years as the Chief Breakfast Cook at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Ma. She put the same heart and soul into her job as she did into maintaining her wonderful relationships with her loving family and many friends. Janet was married to the late Charles Calabria for 24 years and as life takes its many turns, she had the good fortune of re-connecting with her childhood sweetheart, the late Bill Morrissey of Hull, Ma. They were devoted to each other and cared for each other in sickness and in health and spent many wonderful years together. Janet was a kind, gentle and sweet-natured person with a heart of gold who could never do enough for the people in her life. She truly touched the lives of everyone she met with her thoughtful and generous ways.

Janet will be forever remembered by her loving sisters, Dorothy Williams of Duxbury, MA, Louise Wessel of Roswell, Ga, her devoted sons John Calabria of Stow, Ma, Billy Morrissey of Waxahachie, TX, her loving daughters, Gianna Poirier of Leominster, Ma, Lisa Bhalla of Larchmont, NY, her loving nieces Elly Rouse of South Boston and Suzanne Doherty of Billerica, Ma., and great-nieces Jessica, Kristina and Ryanne Williams, Lauren Doherty, and great-nephew Kevin Doherty and adoring grandchildren Kyle, Dan and Nick Poirier, Ravi and Avani Bhalla and Sydney Morrissey.
